Shoal Creek Landfill on Shoal Creek Road accepts residential yard waste and construction and demolition debris directly from residents where normal curbside pick-up is not adequate. The landfill will accept one pickup truckload per month with no charge from City of Griffin customers with Residential Curbside Service or Apartment Service. Additional loads per month will be charged standard rates. Griffin residents must show ID and a copy of your City of Griffin solid waste bill.

Residential Yard Waste

Yard waste is accepted in the form of:

• Leaves
• Brush
• Grass
• Clippings
• Shrubs
• Tree debris
• Nursery
• Greenhouse Residues
• Trees

Residential Use Only

City Residents with Solid Waste Service may deliver one pickup truckload of yard waste per month, with a load size of 4 ft. x 4 ft. x 2 ft. maximum. At no time should yard waste be mixed with municipal solid waste or other trash debris.

Yard waste is ground and provided free of charge to residents in the form of compost and mulch shavings on a first come, first serve basis.

Construction & Demolition

The Construction & Demolition Landfill accepts construction and inert waste material generated as a result of:

• Demolition
• Remodeling
• New Residential, Commercial and Industrial Construction
