2nd Saturdays
Join us every second Saturday of the month to shop, dine, and explore Downtown Griffin. The City of Griffin hosts this free, family-friendly 2nd Saturday Event Series in partnership with the Griffin Downtown Council and the Griffin Main Street Program. Each month offers a unique theme with fun activities, shop specials, live music, and more. For 2025, a new concert series will occur from April to October at the Park at Sixth
June Jam Beach Party
A free, family-friendly event held on Solomon Street as Griffin’s largest beach party every year. The Griffin Downtown Council, in partnership with the June 2nd Saturday event, hosts live music, food vendors, and 100+ tons of sand for all to enjoy. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Doc Holliday Festival & BBQ Competition
his city-wide partnership event is held in City Park annually on the weekend following Labor Day, promising a day of entertainment for the whole family. This exciting event is free to attend and offers a glimpse into the past and present with various activities and shows. For more details, click here.
Movies in the Park
City Church hosts a free, family-friendly movie and block party experience in April, June, and August in partnership with the Griffin Downtown Council and the Griffin Main Street Program. For more details, click here.
Downtown Trick-or-Treat
Local business owners and community outreach groups line the streets of Downtown Griffin the Thursday before Halloween for an evening of spooky fun. Children trick-or-treat from one business to the next while enjoying free activities, games, candy, and more. Costumes are encouraged.
Christmas In Griffin
The City of Griffin hosts the annual Christmas tree lighting at One Griffin Center on the first Friday in December. This event brings thousands downtown to see Santa light the tree before enjoying the Christmas In Griffin experience with City Church on Solomon Street. Christmas In Griffin includes free activities, snow, s’mores, and a movie on the lawn.
Hometown Holliday Illuminated Parade
Enjoy a traditional holiday parade as part of the December 2nd Saturday event and in partnership with Spalding County. The parade features 100+ illuminated floats from local businesses, community groups, schools, dance studios, and more.
