The City of Griffin and Spalding County are proud to announce a community-wide celebration honoring America’s 250th Anniversary and Spalding County’s 175th Anniversary.

The celebration will kick off on July 4th with the Independence Day Parade and fireworks, and continue throughout the week, concluding on July 11th during the 2nd Saturday All-American Summer Block Party in Downtown Griffin. Throughout the week, residents and visitors can enjoy free events, activities, and community initiatives designed to remember the past and celebrate the future. We invite local organizations, businesses, churches, schools, and community groups to be a part of this historic celebration. Whether you are interested in hosting an activity, setting up a booth, or participating in the parade, there are opportunities for everyone to get involved.
