Free Family Fun In Downtown Griffin

You're invited to join us in Downtown Griffin this holiday season for FREE family fun. 

November 8th: 2nd Saturday Holiday Hoopla

Join us in Downtown Griffin as we kick-off the holiday season. Shop, dine, and explore downtown businesses throughout the day with 2nd Saturday specials, holiday open houses, live music, and festive activities for the whole family. Check with your favorite businesses for store hours and how they plan to participate. Plus, enjoy a free holiday hayride around downtown.  

December 5th: City of Griffin Tree Lighting + Christmas In Griffin

Join us on Hill Street at One Griffin Center starting at 5:30pm. Enjoy holiday music from local high school students and the City of Griffin Employee Choir as we wait for Santa’s arrival. At 6pm, Santa will arrive by firetruck to light the historic City of Griffin Christmas Tree. Then, head over to Solomon Street for City Church’s Christmas in Griffin with train rides, snow, s’mores, ornament painting, pictures with Santa, and more. Thank you to local community partners for making this event possible.

December 7th: Mistletoe Market

Join us on East Solomon Street from noon to 4pm for holiday fun with vendors, cookie decorating with Santa Mickey and Minnie, activities for kids, and live holiday music. This holiday market celebrates the season while allowing guests to complete their shopping or enjoy the festive atmosphere with friends. If you are interested in being a vendor, click here

December 13th: 2nd Saturday Merry & Bright featuring the Hometown Holiday Illuminated Parade

Join us is Downtown Griffin for a fun day of for the whole family! Starting at 10am, enjoy last minute Christmas shopping, brunch, or family-friendly activities with 2nd Saturday specials at participating businesses. At 6:30pm, the parade will begin on Solomon Street at 5th Street. Citizens are encouraged to arrive in downtown starting at 5pm due to street closures for the parade. Holiday characters will be on Solomon Street for a meet and greet prior to the parade. If you are interested in participating in the parade, click here
