Utility resources provided by the City of Griffin:

  1. Free online Residential Resources that answer questions regarding your home’s energy use. The easy-to-use online tool provides energy and bill analysis. Click here for more information.
  2. Free Energy Audit of your home (or business). This assessment can help you understand the whole picture of your home’s energy use, comfort, and safety. It will determine how much energy your home uses, where your home is inefficient, and which problem areas and fixes you should prioritize to save energy and improve the comfort of your home. To schedule a free energy audit, please contact City of Griffin Customer Service at 770-229-6403.
  3. Payment Arrangements can be made with customers based on their needs. Customers are encouraged to contact the City of Griffin Customer Service at 770-229-6403 to discuss arrangement options.

Additional resources available to City of Griffin utility customers:

  1. Cooling and Heating Assistance through Middle Georgia Community Action Agency. To be eligible for assistance, households must have an income at or below 60 percent of the state median income. Contact 1-844-588-1552 or click here for more information and to apply.
  2. Weatherization Assistance through the Middle Georgia Community Action Agency includes home improvements and energy conservation measures like attic insulation, broken window repair, water heater replacement, etc. Contact 1-844-588-1552 or click here for more information.
  3. Utility Assistance through local organizations: Spalding Samaritans, located at the Community Classroom of Southside Medical inside the Hope Health Clinic at 409 West Solomon Street. Meets every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 12:30-2:00pm. Customers must provide a copy of their current bill and a valid government picture ID. First United Methodist Church, located at 732 West Broad Street. Meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month from 1:30-3:00pm. Customers must provide a copy of their current bill and a valid government picture ID. Salvation Army, located at 725 Meriwether Street. Call 770-412-6561 for more information on assistance provided.
