This project proposes to replace the bridge carrying State Route 16 over a Norfolk Southern Railroad track in Griffin. Traffic will be maintained on State Route 16 by staging construction. There will be a detour for South 9<sup>th</sup> Street both north and south of State Route 16 due to the staging for Construction. There are no impacts to public recreation areas.</p><p>The purpose of this Location and Public Information Open House is to provide the public with an opportunity to view the project, ask questions, and comment on the project.</p><p>The Open House will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. It will be informal, and the public is invited to attend anytime during these hours. There will be no formal presentation. A court reporter will be available to allow the public an opportunity to make verbal comments about the project.</p><p>Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Information: The meeting site is accessible to persons with disabilities.&nbsp; Accommodations for people with disabilities can be arranged with advance notice by contacting the district planning and programming liaison <i>District Planning &amp; Programming Engineer</i> at Harland Smith, 706-646-7566, hasmith@dot.ga.gov.</p><p>Comments will be accepted concerning this project until Thursday, May 21, 2026.
