Kick off summer and enjoy the largest beach party in town! Join us in Downtown Griffin on Saturday, June 13th, from 3pm to 9pm, for the 2nd Saturday June Jam Beach Party, presented by the Griffin-Spalding Business and Tourism Association.
At 3pm, Solomon Street, between South 5th and South 6th Streets, officially transforms into Griffin Beach, featuring sand games, live music by DJ Tronic, and a food truck court on South 5th Street. The night continues with live music, headlined by Michael Stacey’s Margaritaville, a Jimmy Buffett tribute band, performing from 6pm to 9pm in the field located beside Historic City Hall, 201 East Solomon Street. The event location has been shifted to the field at Historic City Hall due to the current condition of the building located at 117 East Solomon Street. The City of Griffin and the Griffin Downtown Council decided to move the location out of an abundance of caution.
Back by popular demand, the Hula Hunt. A beach-themed scavenger hunt throughout downtown. Attendees can search for one of thirty hidden hula figurines, snap a selfie, and tag @DowntownGriffin on Facebook to be entered to win fun prizes. Participants are also encouraged to use the new June Jam Instagram sticker in their posts for a chance to be featured.
Want the June Jam VIP Experience? Purchase a VIP table as part of the Griffin Downtown Council fundraiser to support free events in Downtown Griffin throughout the year. A table includes reserved seating for eight from 5pm to 9pm, as well as table linens. Table decorating is encouraged. The theme is Margaritaville. Judging will take place at 6pm. Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Purchase a table by clicking here.
