In an effort to ease the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on our residents, the City of Griffin has created a Utility Assistance Grant Program using $250,000 from CARES Act funding. This program is intended to provide emergency financial assistance to local citizens and businesses who need help with their utilities. City residents may receive up to $500 on a residential utility account while businesses located within the City may receive up to $1000 on a commercial utility account. Grants will be awared on a first come-first served basis while funds last. This program will be administered through the Salvation Army and residents should contact their office to apply for the program.
