    1.

Recognize Angela Thompson, Budget Analyst with the Finance Department, as the July 2015 "Strongest Link" award recipient. Chief Financial Officer Markus Schwab will address. 

     
    2. Review Financials for May and June 2015.  Chief Financial Officer Markus Schwab will address.

CITIZEN COMMENTS

     
               
 
At this time, the Chairperson opens the floor to comments from the audience. Comments should relate to a specific agenda item, not listed on the agenda for a Public Hearing, or to a concern within the jurisdiction of the City. Commission meetings serve the purpose of conducting city business and are not a forum for the unlimited expression of opinion. The Chairperson reserves the right to limit comments to matters germane to city business and may refer speakers to the City Manager or other staff for resolution.
     
               
       
               
 

PUBLIC HEARINGS

     
               
 
Public Hearings are conducted to allow public comment on specific advertised issues such as rezoning, ordinances, policy development, operating budgets and other legislative actions to be considered by the City Commission.
     
               
       
               
 

CONSENT AGENDA

     
               
    3. Consider approval Minutes for July 28, 2015 for the Special Called Meeting, the Workshop and the Board of Commissioners Regularly Scheduled Meeting.      
    4. Consider, on second reading, an Ordinance repealing regulations pertaining to taxicabs, found in Code of Griffin, Georgia, Chapter 102, VEHICLES FOR HIRE, Article III, TAXICABS, at Sections 102-61 - 102-102. City Attorney Drew Whalen will address.      
               
       
               
 

REGULAR AGENDA

     
               
 
The Regular Agenda includes items on which the Commission will individually consider and possibly take action.
     
               
    5. Consider approval to purchase a battery-operated forklift and charger for the Electric Department Operations Center from Thompson Lift Truck in the amount of $37,034.  Electric Director Bill Bosch will address.      
    6. Consider approval of the renewal of annual agreement, "Schedule A" to General Agreement of 2013, for tree trimming and removal work to Asplundh Tree Experts, for a one-year period, effective until July 31, 2016. Bill Bosch, Electric Director, will address.      
    7. Consider the approval of bid and work contract to P.F. Moon and Company, Inc. for the construction of the Flint River Pump Station in the amount of $6.5 million for the Water and Wastewater Department of the Public Works and Utilities Department. Director of Public Works and Utilities Brant D. Keller will address.      
    8.

Consider approval to declare certain city IT out of life cycle equipment as noted on attachment, surplus and sell through GovDeals online auction service (See attachment 1). Chief Technology Officer Jack Poland will address.

     
    9. Discuss 2015 Tax Digest and proposed millage rate. City Manager Kenny Smith will address.

The City Manager will update the Commission on pending items, upcoming workshops, meetings, conferences and other pertinent issues.
