PRESENTATIONS / DELEGATIONS 
 
1. Recognize Donald Bailey of the Griffin Police Department for 25 years of 
service to the City of Griffin.   Chief Frank Strickland will address.
2. Recognize the City of Griffin Electric Department for receiving the 
Platinum level RP3 Award from the American Public Power Association.  
Director of Electric Bill Bosch will address.
 
CITIZEN COMMENTS 
 
At this time, the Chairperson opens the floor to comments from the audience.  
Comments should relate to a specific agenda item, not listed on the agenda for a Public 
Hearing, or to a concern within the jurisdiction of the City.  Commission meetings 
serve the purpose of conducting city business and are not a forum for the unlimited 
expression of opinion.  The Chairperson reserves the right to limit comments to matters 
germane to city business and may refer speakers to the City Manager or other staff for 
resolution. 
 
PUBLIC HEARINGS 
 
Public Hearings are conducted to allow public comment on specific advertised issues 
such as rezoning, ordinances, policy development, operating budgets and other 
legislative actions to be considered by the City Commission.

3. Consider approval of Minutes of the Minutes of the Regular Scheduled 
Meeting on April 10, 2012.
 
REGULAR AGENDA 
 
The Regular Agenda includes items on which the Commission will individually 
consider and possibly take action. 
4. Consider an addendum to the Branding Campaign contract between the 
City of Griffin and Sky Design in the amount of $13,000.00 for the 
completion of a signage and way-finding master plan, and amend the 
budget accordingly.  Interim Director of Planning and Development Adam 
Causey will address. 
 
5. Consider a Resolution to amend the City of Griffin’s Golf Course Fund 
and General Fund Fiscal Year 2011-2012 Operating Budgets for the 
replacement of three-way grounding on existing irrigation control boxes 
located at the golf course.  Director of Public Works and Utilities Dr. 
Brant Keller will address. 
 
6. Consider purchase of a John Deere 310SK 4WD Backhoe from Flint 
Equipment in the amount of $83,400.00 for use in the Public Works 
Department.  Director of Public Works and Utilities Dr. Brant Keller will 
address. 
 
7. Consider a 5311 Public Transportation System Contract with Three Rivers 
Regional Commission for the year of 2012-2013 in the amount of 
$5,785.00.  Director of Public Works and Utilities Dr. Brant Keller will 
address. 
 
8. Consider approval to hire two (2) water plant operators and amend the FY 
2011-2012 budget accordingly.  Director of Public Works and Utilities Dr. 
Brant Keller will address. 
 
9. Consider an agreement with United Consulting for completion of the GS 
Airport Stormwater Prevention Plan Permit Update &  Spill Prevention 
Containment & Countermeasures Plan in the amount of $19,850.00.  
Airport Manager Robert Mohl will address. 
 
10. Consider an agreement with United Consulting to complete Corrective 
Action Plan – Part B (CAP-B) amendment in the amount of $2,450.00.  
Airport Manager Robert Mohl will address. 
 
11. Consider a Mutual Aid Agreement between Spalding Regional Emergency 
Medical Services and the City of Griffin Fire Rescue.  Chief Frank 
Strickland will address.

12. Consider a Statewide Mutual Aid and Assistance agreement between the 
Georgia Emergency Management Agency – Homeland Security and the 
City of Griffin, Public Safety and Fire Rescue.  Chief Frank Strickland 
will address. 
 
13. Consider cancellation of Workshop and Regular Scheduled Meeting on 
June 26, 2012, due to the Georgia Municipal Association Annual 
Conference to be held in Savannah, Georgia June 23rd – 26th.  
 
City Manager Kenny Smith will address. 
CITY MANAGER’S REPORT 
The City Manager will update the Commission on pending items, upcoming 
workshops, meetings, conferences and other pertinent issues. 
CITY COMMISSIONER COMMENTS 
Commissioners will provide updates regarding issues of interest from their respective 
districts and/or committee reports.
