Shaheer A. Beyah

Commissioner Shaheer A. Beyah is a native of the City of Griffin and has lived in the 6th District for over 40 years. He is the father of six children and grand-parent to seven grand-children. He is employed by G&D Integrated here in Griffin, GA as a tractor trailer operator and has worked as a professional driver for over 20 years.

Mr. Beyah is well-known in all parts of the community as a tireless crusader for community improvement and the education, development and moral enrichment of children and youth. Mr. Beyah's commitment to youth is evident through his work in the Griffin-Spalding County area. He is the founder and Executive Director of Not Another Statistic (N.A.S.), Inc., a 501-c3 organization dedicated to the moral development of youth in the City of Griffin and Spalding County. He organized and initiated an innovative gang-peer mediation program called Truce & Trust and he is the Founder of the newly formed Griffin Inter-Faith Team or G.I.F.T.
