The Uniform Patrol Division pprovides 24-hour law enforcement services to the citizens of Griffin. Through directed and preventive patrol, the Uniform Patrol Division seeks to deter street crime and burglaries. Uniform officers are the initial responders to calls for service and conduct traffic accident investigations. Uniform officers also assist citizens with medical and social problems through crisis intervention and/or referrals to the appropriate state or county agency.
They are also responsible for other events such as holiday enforcement details, community and business presentations, and managing school crossing guard assignments.
