
Eddie Bogan is a 29-year-employee with the Police Department and is the accreditation manager. In addition to his experience in law enforcement, he has a strong background in Information Technology after earning a Bachelors Degree in Management Information Systems. He is a graduate of Columbus State University and the Georgia Law Enforcement Command College. He currently holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration and is an adjunct instructor for Griffin Technical College. Mr. Bogan is a certified assessor for departmental certifications.
In 2004, the Griffin Police Department received its second State re-accreditation. On November 18, 2006 the Griffin Police Department became nationally accredited for the first time. The department received its second CALEA certification, more comprehensive in its scope, for the second time on October 17, 2009.
Bogan is also responsible for the recruitment of new employees.
