Downtown Development Authority

The Griffin Downtown Development Authority is responsible for the revitalization strategy for Downtown Griffin.  The DDA’s mission is to encourage economic activity in Griffin’s central business district by attracting businesses, residents, and visitors.  The DDA attracts private investment to Downtown Griffin through public grants, loans, transportation funds, and tax incentive programs.  The DDA works closely with the Planning & Development Services Department and the Main Street Program in assisting new businesses through the permitting process.

Griffin City Hall Redevelopment Opportunity - Monday, March 21, 2011

The City of Griffin and the Downtown Development Authority are actively pursuing private partners to assist in the redevelopment of the old city hall block. Click here to read about this exciting opportunity.

Meetings

The Griffin Downtown Development Authority meets the third Tuesday of every month. Board meetings will be held at 8:00 A.M. at the Griffin Welcome Center located at 143 North Hill Street, downtown Griffin.
